Similian Islands, Thailand

One of my favorite pictures of the trip.

This little guy sat so still for me and let me right next to him.

Nic got his hands on the camera as well.


We stumbled upon two Leopard sharks. At first we thought that the one was dead because the other one was circling his up-turned body. Later our dive master told us they were mating and the one turned up-side-down was getting cleaned by sucker fish. It was so amazing to be so close. Leopard sharks are not dangerous and eat only plankton, but I found myself sucking a lot of air while I while I was hovering over them
