Siem Reap, Cambodia

The Temples of Angkor: 8th Wonder of the world and for good reason. All made of stone in the 9th cen, this area holds some of the most impressive religious structures in the world. The hundreds of temples vary in size and style, but all are equally impressive, and would literally takes a week to see them all. In this picture Al and I stand in front of a giant stone statue in the temples of Bayon. This wat was one of our favorites due to its dynamic design. We weaved in and our of its ancient stone corridors for close to an hour.

Temple of Baylon from the front. This one was crawling with tourists due to it being one of the first stops people take during their exploration of Angkor. It felt alittle bit like we were @ Disney World, but after this temple, we were able to break away from the herd of fannypacks.

Just one of the many enormous trees that could be seen scattered around the temples. Here is just a glimpse at the size of these monsters.

Senior picture shot, GO. In this picture, I was taking a break from checking out the endless stone hallway of incredible detail. Every inch of these religious structure was decorated.

We hired a tuk tuk driver for the whole day. He took us around the temples of Angkor for close to 5 hours. I couldn't imagine trying to see all these temples on foot.
