Hanoi, Vietnam

Allison in the Temple of Literature. There were hundreds of these stone slabs that rose off the backs of the turtle statues. Each piece represented a year at the university and the scholars that attended and contributed to the work done here.

These things were everywhere. Women were constantly passing you in the narrow sidewalks with various types of foods in these baskets. They cared these things all day in hopes to make a few US dollars. Vietnam is not short of hardworking people.

After dinner our last full day in Hanoi we stopped in @ an english pub called Redbeer. There we watched some futball and sampled some of their Redbeer... this one goes out to you grandpa Ned.

Everywhere we looked, locals were preparing for the New Year celebrations. This was a long sign made up of different colored flowers. It was in Vietnamese, but i'm guessing it said something like "Happy New Year".
